[Saba Sports New] Indian star batter Suryakumar Yadav has been displaying exceptional form in recent T20Is, consistently racking up runs. In the series’ third and final T20I against South Africa on December 15 at Johannesburg’s New Wanderers Stadium, the 33-year-old, leading as captain, hit his fourth T20I century with a stunning 100 from 56 balls, including seven fours and eight sixes.
His performance propelled India to a substantial 201/7 in 20 overs, leading to a 106-run victory that leveled the series at 1-1. Post-match, a video surfaced showing Suryakumar in a heated conversation with Arshdeep Singh on the team bus, sparking speculation about the nature of the discussion.
Suryakumar’s century places him in a prestigious group alongside Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell, each with four T20I centuries. Remarkably, Suryakumar achieved this feat in the fewest innings (57).
Holding the top spot in the T20I batting rankings for over a year, Suryakumar has 865 ratings. The third T20I also saw another standout performance from Kuldeep Yadav, who recorded a five-wicket haul on his birthday, including David Miller’s crucial wicket, helping India dismiss South Africa for 95. The focus now shifts to the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa starting December 17.
