[Saba Sports News] Several fans believe the Milwaukee Bucks could be facing more than just an early playoff exit after Sunday’s disastrous turn of events.
The Indiana Pacers steamrolled the Bucks 129-103 in Game 4 at Fiserv Forum, taking a 3-1 series lead in their first-round matchup.
To make matters worse, Milwaukee also lost Damian Lillard to what’s feared to be a torn Achilles tendon. Lillard suffered a non-contact injury midway through the first quarter and did not return.
With Lillard sidelined, Giannis Antetokounmpo once again carried the bulk of the load for the Bucks, finishing with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists in the loss.
During the TNT broadcast, cameras captured a drained Antetokounmpo deep in thought while sitting on the bench with his team trailing by 20 points in the fourth quarter.
The scene sparked widespread speculation among fans, with many wondering if Lillard’s injury — combined with what could soon be a third straight first-round playoff exit — might push Antetokounmpo to reconsider his future in Milwaukee. Some even questioned whether Sunday’s blowout was the Greek Freak’s final home game as a Buck.
The Bucks have long made it clear they would never trade Antetokounmpo unless he asked out.
Giannis has shown unwavering loyalty to the franchise that drafted him over a decade ago. But with Lillard potentially sidelined for most or all of next season, the path to title contention in Milwaukee has rarely looked so uncertain.
