[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, the Milan city government has valued San Siro and its surrounding area at approximately €200 million, and the Milan clubs will conduct an assessment next. On Tuesday local time, Milan Mayor Beppe Sala, Italy’s Minister of Culture and Sport, and the presidents of AC Milan and Inter held a meeting to discuss selling San Siro and its surrounding area to both clubs and allowing them to build new stadiums. Reports state that the tax office will conduct a price assessment for the area, predicting a valuation of around €200 million, fluctuating between €170 million and €250 million. The official price is expected to be announced between late October and early November. The report also noted that AC Milan believes this valuation is too high since they have already spent €40 million in San Donato on advancing their new stadium project, while Inter feels it is worth considering and will conduct detailed research on the specific asking price. If AC Milan and Inter successfully purchase San Siro and its surrounding area, they can then build new stadiums there. At the same time, considering the protection of historical buildings, areas within the second ring of San Siro will be preserved, including corners around the southeast tower, part of the orange stand, and areas of the south stand.
