[Saba Sports News] Due to the strict gambling laws in the Netherlands, the Sauber F1 Team Kick Sauber will not compete under its current name in the Dutch Grand Prix. The team will compete under the name “Kick Sauber” at the Zandvoort circuit. GPblog confirmed that the main sponsor of the Swiss team, Stake, will not appear on the entry list for the race at Zandvoort. Normally, the name of this betting company appears in the team name, and its logo is prominently displayed on the side of the car, as well as on the racing suits of drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto. However, in the Spanish Grand Prix, the Stake logo was not visible on the drivers’ racing suits. This temporary name change is related to strict regulations against advertising for betting companies. Stake is a betting website, and it is banned from advertising in the Netherlands. Since January 1st this year, the law has become stricter, and displaying the name of a betting company during sports events is no longer allowed. It is worth noting that this is not limited to the Netherlands. For example, Belgium also has strict regulations on such advertisements. Therefore, Zandvoort is not the first case. This Swiss team had previously competed under different names earlier this year.
