[Saba Sports News] The PREMA Racing team has officially announced that Sebastian Montoya, son of former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya, will team up with Gabriele Mini next season to form the team’s F2 lineup for the 2025 season. Sebastian, who began his racing career at PREMA in 2020 as a Red Bull junior driver, finished fourth in the Italian F4 series in 2021. In 2023, he became an F3 driver and ended his second season in F3 with a total of 6 points. Speaking about joining PREMA, Sebastian stated that this is the first team he has collaborated with in his professional career and is one of the best teams in the lower-tier series in the world. He can’t wait to start competing in F2, dreaming of becoming an F1 driver like his father. PREMA team principal Rene Rosin remarked that moving to F2 is never easy, but they are determined to prepare together in the base and testing, and to continue striving based on that foundation.
