[Saba Sports News] Jayson Tatum might be getting a taste of his own medicine.
This week, images of professional soccer player Ismail Jakobs went viral, showing Jakobs with a new tattoo on his back. Jakobs, who plays for AS Monaco and the Senegal national team, now sports a “God’s Will” tattoo in the same font and placement as the famous ink on Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum’s back.
Tatum’s tattoo artist, Steve Wiebe, called out Jakobs on Instagram, saying, “bar for bar is crazy,” with a facepalm emoji, suggesting Jakobs copied Tatum’s distinctive design, including the crucifix between the words “God’s” and “Will.”
While the legal grounds for action by Wiebe or Tatum are unclear, they can certainly accuse Jakobs of mimicking Tatum’s tattoo. Some might see it as ironic, given Tatum’s recent accusations of plagiarism.
