Sports News] According to recent reports from the Spanish police, a group of
six individuals involved in burglaries has been arrested. Through investigations
and trials, it was discovered that they had targeted the residence of La Liga
Real Madrid star Rodrygo. The series of burglaries took place in affluent areas
in and around Madrid, starting in July 2022. The burglars were highly skilled
and had studied videos and photos shared on social media by players and their
entourages. They used this information to gather details about the layout of
the houses and the periods when residents were away. They also familiarized
themselves with the security systems in order to plan their entry. The police
have charged the gang members with offenses such as robbery with force, robbery
with violence or intimidation, forgery of documents, and money laundering. The
incident involving Rodrigo occurred in May 2023, while he was participating in
the King’s Cup final. His home in Madrid was targeted, resulting in the theft
of a significant amount of jewelry and cash, with a loss exceeding hundreds of
thousands of euros.
