[Saba Sports News] Jimmy Butler and Ben Simmons weren’t exactly close during their time as teammates, but Simmons might unexpectedly influence Butler’s future.
On “The Brooklyn” podcast, Bob Windrem of Nets Daily revealed that Butler’s interest in joining the Brooklyn Nets is “very, very real.” A surprising factor is the connection through Simmons’ agent, Bernie Lee, who also represents Butler.
Though Butler and Simmons didn’t have the best relationship in Philadelphia, their shared agent and Simmons’ positive experience with the Nets could play a role in Butler’s interest.
While a reunion may not happen, as both players are nearing the end of their contracts, it’s intriguing that Simmons could be influencing Butler’s potential move to Brooklyn.
