[Saba Sports News] Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum and Florida Panthers standout Matthew Tkachuk, both St. Louis natives and former classmates at Chaminade College Preparatory School, recently had a nostalgic moment.
When the St. Louis Cardinals invited them to throw out ceremonial first pitches on Sunday, they recreated a viral photo from their middle school days.
Tatum and Tkachuk, who were friends despite playing different sports, were joined by the third classmate who photobombed the original picture, making the recreation complete.
Though they took different paths, the two have kept tabs on each other’s careers, and it’s remarkable that they each won championships in their respective sports just a week apart. It was fitting for them to celebrate together on Sunday.
