[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Chelsea legend John Terry has backed calls to ban foreigners from claiming welfare benefits. Terry responded on Instagram to a post by former Reform Party MP Rupert Lowe, who has recently founded a new political party. Lowe shared a video of himself questioning Pat McFadden, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in the House of Commons. In his post, Lowe argued that foreigners should be barred from accessing welfare support and that migrants who cannot support themselves should be deported. He suggested the billions of pounds saved could be used to cut taxes and support British people who keep the economy running. John Terry showed his backing in the comments, replying “100% agree”. Fellow Chelsea legend Dennis Wise also voiced his support, writing “200% agree”.
The editor believes that this is not the first time John Terry has voiced his support for Rupert Lowe. Previously, Lowe shared a photo showing Bengali signage outside a London Underground station, stating that his new political party would ban the burqa and ensure only the English language is used at all London transport stations. Terry replied to the post with three clapping emojis and a British flag emoji, sparking widespread controversy.
