Despite the high cost, he believes it is money well spent. Building chemistry among players in a favorable environment is crucial for team competitions and represents the ideal approach to preparation. It is reported that a total of 53 players, coaches, and support staff have gathered for the camp. For the first time, eight professionals from the National Sports Institute have joined the delegation to provide all-round support. To control costs, however, the sparring players will return to Malaysia ahead of the Thomas & Uber Cup.The final rounds of the tournament will kick off this Friday in Horsens, Denmark. The training program for the camp has been arranged with the assistance of Kenneth Jonassen, the local Danish national singles head coach in Herning. Lee Chong Wei revealed that he will stay in Malaysia and monitor the team’s progress remotely to avoid disrupting the players’ preparation with an excessively large traveling group. Records show that Malaysia last won the Thomas Cup back in 1992, and the team is now making a full push to challenge for new honors.
