Currently, Inter is under the control of an American consortium. In a recent interview, former Inter president Massimo Moratti discussed this matter and ruled out the possibility of the Moratti family reclaiming control of the club in the future, sparking interest among many Inter fans. Moratti stated, “Although I am eager to be involved with Inter, I believe it won’t be an easy endeavor. The cost of acquiring and sustaining the club at the highest level is too substantial for a single entrepreneur in today’s era. Even prominent clubs like La Liga’s giants Real Madrid struggle with significant debt.” Moratti, a wealthy Italian oil tycoon, served as Inter’s chairman from 1995 until October 15, 2014, leading the club for 18 years. Under his leadership, Inter achieved success, winning the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League consecutively.
