[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Thiago Alcantara will officially join Barcelona’s coaching staff in January while he is still dealing with tax matters in the UK. It is reported that Hans-Dieter Flick plans to reintegrate Thiago into his coaching staff in January; once Thiago concludes his tax matters in the UK, he will officially become part of Barcelona’s coaching team. At that time, Barcelona will be able to announce this news without burdening him. Additionally, during his time in the UK, Thiago has maintained contact with other members of Barcelona’s coaching staff through video conferences. Due to tax issues, Thiago cannot officially join Barcelona’s coaching staff until January 1, 2025, as he is still paying taxes in the UK as a Liverpool player in 2024. Nevertheless, Thiago has closely followed Barcelona’s daily affairs during his time in the UK; he even participated remotely in coaching meetings and contributed to some decisions. It is reported that when Stefan Bajčetić had an opportunity to join Barcelona, Thiago personally contacted him and tried to persuade him to join Barcelona; however, due to fair competition rules, this deal ultimately did not materialize, and Bajčetić ended up going to Salzburg.
