[Saba Sports News] Jimmy Butler has reportedly listed a few teams he’d like to join if the Miami Heat decide to trade him. However, one of those teams, the Houston Rockets, may not share his enthusiasm.
According to Sam Amick of *The Athletic*, the Rockets are “highly unlikely” to pursue a trade for Butler. The team is focused on developing its young core and is hesitant to add a star in his mid-to-late 30s.
The Rockets were among three teams recently linked to Butler, who hails from the Houston area. With the Rockets showing promise as an up-and-coming team, it’s no surprise Butler might view them as an attractive option. For now, though, the interest seems one-sided.
Butler’s situation with the Heat remains unresolved. He’s seeking a max contract that Miami appears hesitant to offer, which could pave the way for a trade. While reports suggest he’s targeting a specific group of teams, Butler’s agent has dismissed such claims.
Despite the uncertainty, Butler continues to perform at a high level, averaging 18.6 points and 5.3 rebounds over 18 games this season.
