Tottenham hopes to sell Bissouma next month, as he has had conflicts with the club due to three disciplinary incidents over the past 18 months. The most recent incident occurred last week when footage surfaced of him inhaling nitrous oxide on November 3, a behavior that had previously led to his suspension from the team a year ago.
The 29-year-old Bissouma nearly joined Fenerbahçe in August, but the transfer fell through due to injuries. It is anticipated that Turkish clubs will rekindle their interest once the winter transfer window opens. However, if Bissouma is unable to find a transfer opportunity during this window, Tottenham may activate the 12-month extension option in his contract to protect his transfer value. This means that if Tottenham loses the player, who was brought in for £25 million in 2022, they would at least receive some compensation rather than losing him for free.
Currently, Bissouma’s contract expires on June 30 next year. Notably, he has not played a single game for Frank since injuries have significantly impacted his opportunities.
