[Saba Sports News] For the 2025 season, Spanish driver Carlos Sainz will join Williams F1 team; however, the 30-year-old from Madrid does not rule out the possibility of returning to Ferrari. Recently, Sainz experienced an emotional moment. Last Sunday was his final race for Ferrari, and he did not hesitate to shed tears; this Monday, he drove Williams’ car for the first time; and on Tuesday, he finished second in the post-season test, only behind his former Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc. In an interview, Sainz revealed that he does not exclude the possibility of returning to Ferrari one day, stating that driving the red car is a joyful experience, and he would not speak negatively about Ferrari. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur confirmed to DAZN that discussions have taken place regarding Sainz’s potential return to Ferrari. He mentioned that F1 is a small world, with only 10 teams currently, but only 6 to 7 of them have top drivers. For Sainz, tomorrow’s story is about Williams, but no one knows what will happen the day after tomorrow.
