[Saba Sports News] Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur confronted recent media rumors about his potential dismissal during the F1 Canadian Grand Prix weekend, calling the reports “excessive” and unfounded, while expressing great disrespect for both the team and its members’ families. Earlier, Italian media reported that due to the team’s poor performance, Vasseur’s position was under review, with Antonello Coletta, head of the WEC department, seen as a potential successor. However, when questioned repeatedly at the FIA press conference during the Canadian Grand Prix, Vasseur clearly showed dissatisfaction. He stated that criticism is part of the role of a team leader, something he was prepared for when he took office, but that these current reports exceeded acceptable limits. Vasseur pointed out that these rumors not only undermined team morale but also created unnecessary chaos, questioning the motives of these media outlets, believing they seek to cause trouble for the team because that is how they survive. The situation is now such that these media can fabricate any unknown person as a supposed successor.
