[Saba Sports News] Recently, Red Bull Racing chief advisor Helmut Marko emphasized the role that Max Verstappen has been allowed to play in the team’s F1 revival. Since the Dutch Grand Prix, the team found the “sweet spot” for the RB21 car’s operating window. Marko stated that, through the joint efforts of the Red Bull technical team and the four-time world champion Verstappen, this window has now become larger. Marko told Formule 1 magazine: “All the changes and adjustments came together perfectly, which is why the car is more competitive now.” This performance surge allowed Verstappen to significantly close the gap to the McLaren drivers in the championship standings, reducing it from 104 points to just 37 points within just five Grand Prix weekends. Marko also highly praised the reigning world champion, crediting him for rekindling his own championship hopes. After the team’s低迷 form in the first half of the year, Verstappen’s feedback was crucial for the Red Bull technical team to find their direction again. Leveraging his experience, Verstappen now holds significant sway in technical discussions.
