[Saba Sports News] According to GPBlog, Max Verstappen is currently in Brazil preparing for the upcoming Formula 1 race in Sao Paulo. During this time, Verstappen also took some time to visit the Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet, a track named after his father-in-law, Nelson Piquet. This circuit, located in Brasil, is named after the three-time world champion Piquet; it closed 12 years ago and was taken over by management company BRB in 2022. The renovated track length will increase from 5.031 km before closure to 5.384 km and is scheduled to reopen on November 30th. However, it is expected to host touring car races here. In a video shared by the elder Piquet on Instagram, the Red Bull driver, when asked by his father-in-law about his thoughts on the track, said: “I think it’s amazing. I think it will be fantastic once it’s reopened, the track layout is very fast. It will be very interesting for both cars and motorcycles.” After spending several days with his father-in-law’s family, Verstappen is looking forward to the F1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace.
