[Saba Sports News] Reports suggest that retired F1 driver Sebastian Vettel is expected to participate in next year’s Le Mans 24-hour endurance race. He will drive for the Porsche Penske team alongside IMSA champion Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy. In March of this year, Vettel tested a Porsche car at the Aragon circuit in Spain and reportedly passed the test with excellent results. Reflecting on that Porsche test, Vettel described it as a wonderful experience, expressing how much he enjoyed driving the Porsche and having fun. Now, he needs to think and decide what he wants to do in future races. When asked about the possibility of Vettel becoming the third driver for the Porsche Penske team, Porsche LMDh factory director Urs Kuratle mentioned that they are lacking one driver, which mathematically makes sense. The team’s higher-ups need to consider this before making a decision; nothing has been finalized yet, but this possibility cannot be ruled out.
