[Saba Sports News] Four-time F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel issued a warning before the Abu Dhabi race: today’s Max Verstappen is not only powerful, but what’s frightening is that he’s also getting better. He remains hungry, willing to learn, and puts in a lot of effort behind the scenes. With only one race left in the 2025 season, Verstappen still has a chance to win the Drivers’ World Championship for the fifth consecutive year.
At the end of the Dutch Grand Prix following the summer break, Verstappen was trailing Oscar Piastri by as many as 104 points, and few believed he could mount a challenge for a fifth title. However, as they headed into the decisive weekend in Abu Dhabi, Verstappen had narrowed the gap to just 12 points, with the leader now being McLaren’s Lando Norris. If he successfully turns the tide, it would be one of the most astonishing championship comebacks in F1 history.
Vettel noted that while Verstappen has exceptional talent, the core reason he stands out is his mental strength. He stays clear-headed during critical moments, remains calm, and rarely makes mistakes. Of course, Verstappen feels pressure—everyone does. But he can find a space in his mind to isolate the pressure, allowing himself to focus on what is truly important.
