The footage features Wembanyama executing windmill dunks and blocking shots in a 3-on-1 scrimmage with teenagers. His serious approach to the game elicited excitement from spectators, although the young opponents seemed to enjoy the challenge, smiling throughout the match. This exposure also served as beneficial publicity for Nike, especially following the recent unveiling of Wembanyama’s new logo.
Despite the one-sided play, one girl did manage a highlight by sneaking a scoop shot past Wembanyama’s defense.
Wembanyama wasn’t the only NBA talent present; he was joined by Bilal Coulibaly of the Washington Wizards, recently signed by Jordan Brand. Both players were former teammates on a French team that dissolved financially after their departure to the NBA last year.
