[Saba Sports News] According to British media, Manchester United is reviewing footage showing one of its fans being attacked by another fan during the match against Chelsea. The club has stated that severe penalties will be imposed if the perpetrator is identified. The fan, Frank Ilett, gained viral fame for pledging not to cut his hair “unless Ruben Amorim’s team wins five consecutive matches.” United’s last five-match winning streak was in February 2024 under manager Erik ten Hag. Frank Ilett was allegedly attacked by a fellow Manchester United fan during the Chelsea match, and the club is investigating the incident. Frank Ilett began this challenge last October and updates his hair’s progress daily on social media. His account has 380,000 followers on Instagram and 253,000 on TikTok, with his follower count growing almost as fast as his black curly hair. One fan, seemingly displeased with the stunt, grabbed Frank Ilett’s hair in a tunnel at Old Trafford and attempted to push him to the ground. Other fans intervened after the incident, but the angry man continued to verbally abuse Frank Ilett, accusing him of not being a “real fan.”
