[Saba Sports News] The Williams F1 team will undergo a major transformation for the 2026 season, showcasing a new look. This includes reviving the “Forward ‘W'” logo design, paying homage to the emblem first used by Sir Frank Williams when he founded the team in 1977. Simultaneously, the team’s full name will change from “Atlassian Williams Racing” to “Atlassian Williams F1 Team”. According to the team’s official website, the new name highlights the team’s singular goal of competing in top-tier motorsport and striving for championships, tightly linking the team’s glorious history with its bold and ambitious future. The “Forward W” logo first appeared in 1977, the year the team was founded, and was featured on the nine championship-winning cars that secured the World Constructors’ Championship for the team. For one of the three most successful teams in F1 history, and one that now clearly aims to become a powerhouse in the modern F1 era, this is the latest step in its transformation. During nearly 50 years of competing in F1, Williams has built its legacy on an independent spirit, innovative capability, and a determination to win, attracting tens of millions of loyal fans worldwide. Now, under the stewardship of Dorilton Capital, with James Vowles as Team Principal, and with world-class drivers Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon, the team is channeling the same passion and values to propel itself towards a new era of success, riding the wave of F1’s growing global popularity.
