[Saba Sports News] Lewis Hamilton’s slow start at Ferrari has drawn widespread attention. James Vowles, the current team principal of Williams and longtime teammate of Hamilton at Mercedes, shared his unique insight. He pointed out that the main reason Hamilton hasn’t shown his top-level performance at Ferrari yet is because he hasn’t found the “core element to build confidence” in the SF-25 car. Vowles noted that Hamilton’s driving style relies on clear feedback from the car, and once he builds confidence, he can dominate. However, this sense of confidence hasn’t emerged yet at Ferrari, directly preventing him from fully unleashing his potential. Once he finds that feeling, the gap between him and Charles Leclerc will be extremely small. Vowles used the Miami Grand Prix as an example, where Hamilton pushed Leclerc to his limits. Looking ahead, Vowles remains optimistic, believing that Hamilton still has championship-winning potential, and as long as Ferrari provides him with a more suitable car, his breakthrough is just a matter of time.
