[Saba Sports News] Recently, Ferrari reserve driver Zhou Guanyu shared his growth experiences within the team, revealing how he has been learning from Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. As a reserve driver for Ferrari in the 2025 season, although Zhou Guanyu did not participate in races, he was deeply involved in the team’s development and simulation work, gaining close observation of the working methods of the two race drivers. Over the past year, Zhou Guanyu’s main task has been to assist Hamilton and Leclerc in tuning the SF-25 car. Discussing the two drivers’ working styles, Zhou Guanyu said they are very similar, with almost identical professional attitudes and levels of focus. Zhou Guanyu believes there is a noticeable difference in operations between the Ferrari team and his previous team, Sauber. At Ferrari, you can spend more time with engineers studying car performance. Everyone’s schedule is more scientific, and the focus during race weekends is always on how to make the car faster. In contrast, during his time at Sauber, he was often forced to divert attention to various non-technical matters, making it difficult for the driver to fully immerse himself in the driving state. Although he didn’t race this year, Zhou Guanyu stated that his year at Ferrari has been immensely rewarding, praising Hamilton and Leclerc as excellent teachers, hinting that this year of consolidation has made him a more mature driver.
