[Saba Sports News] Star Australia batter David Warner will lead Dubai Capitals in the upcoming season of the International League T20 (ILT20)
Warner penned a deal with Dubai Capitals, adding a new chapter in his association with Delhi Capitals, a franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Warner has had a storied history as a captain. He led Sunrisers Hyderabad to an IPL title in 2016.
The southpaw will retire from Test cricket following the conclusion of the upcoming match scheduled between Australia and Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The ILT20 2024 runs from January 20 to February 18 and will clash with Australia’s three-match T20I series against the West Indies, starting February 9. To fulfill his franchise obligations, Warner will give the international assignment a miss.
In the previous edition of the tournament, Dubai Capitals lost in the Eliminator to MI Emirates.
