Sports News] After the recent Premier League match between Manchester City and
Chelsea, which ended in a 1-1 draw, Manchester City’s star player Erling
Haaland’s performance drew attention. Despite taking nine shots with an
expected goal score of 1.71, Haaland failed to find the back of the net. Former
England footballer and sports commentator Gary Lineker playfully commented on
Haaland’s performance, saying, “If it were me, I wouldn’t waste the
opportunity like this. This wouldn’t happen to me.” It’s worth noting that
Lineker had previously teased Haaland in two Manchester City games last year.
However, it is unlikely that Lineker’s remarks would have a psychological
impact on Haaland, as the young striker has consistently demonstrated excellent
form and broken numerous goal-scoring records. Haaland himself has stated in
previous interviews that he is not concerned about others’ evaluations and
remains focused on his own game and performance.
