Sports News] During the 2021 summer transfer window, Manchester United invested
85 million euros to secure the services of star player Jadon Sancho from
Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. It was initially believed that Sancho’s
arrival could help reverse Manchester United’s decline. However, a rift
developed between Sancho and the Manchester United coach. At the start of this
season, Sancho made three substitute appearances for the team. Subsequently, he
became embroiled in a public dispute with coach Eric ten Hag, resulting in his
exclusion from official matches and first-team training for nearly four months.
Reports indicate that Sancho was even prohibited from using the Manchester
United canteen and had to rely on packed meals. In light of these
circumstances, Sancho expressed his desire to leave Manchester United. Finally,
during the current winter transfer window, Manchester United fulfilled Sancho’s
wishes. The club has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with
Dortmund, allowing Sancho to return to Dortmund on a loan deal without a buyout
clause. Dortmund will cover a portion of his salary and a total of 4 million
euros as a loan fee. Sancho rose to prominence during his time at Dortmund,
having made 137 appearances for the first team, scoring 50 goals, and providing
64 assists. At his peak, he was valued at 130 million euros.
