Sports News] According to French media reports, the chances of Nemanja Matic
wearing the Rennes jersey again are extremely low. Matic was reportedly absent
from the team’s training and has made the decision not to continue his playing
career with Rennes. He even went as far as emptying his locker at the training
base. The 35-year-old Matic is said to be frustrated that his children cannot
attend school as planned in the local area. He also feels disconnected from
some members of the dressing room and was displeased about being dropped from
the squad due to arriving late for a game against Toulouse. As a result, he
hopes to find a way out of the situation as soon as possible. Currently, only
Lyon has shown genuine interest in acquiring Matic. However, Rennes’ management
is not satisfied with this potential solution and has yet to accept Lyon’s
offer. It is reported that if Rennes does not ultimately give in and come to an
agreement with Lyon regarding the transfer, Matic may even consider ending his
career prematurely after the first half of the season.
