[Saba
Sports News] Recently, the Thai police uncovered a scam that involved the
fraudulent use of Xabi Alonso’s name to deceive people and obtain money. The
scam involved a message sent in Thai on social media, claiming to be from Xabi
Alonso. The message stated that Alonso would be coaching Liverpool in the
upcoming season but needed money for a plane ticket. The scammer requested a
transfer of 300 BAT, equivalent to about $8.50 (€7.80). The message included a
photo of Alonso to lend credibility to the scam. Thai police have advised
people to be cautious of such messages, avoid making transfers, and refrain
from clicking on links that could lead to downloading programs designed to steal
banking application data and passwords. It is worth noting that since Jurgen
Klopp announced his departure as Liverpool coach at the end of the season, Xabi
Alonso has been mentioned as a potential candidate to replace him. However, it
is unfortunate that Alonso’s name has been exploited by criminals in this scam.
