[Saba Sports News] Red
Bull Racing has emerged as the most successful team in Formula One over the
past five years, with Max Verstappen clinching the F1 world championship title
for three consecutive years. In a recent interview with CNBC, Christian Horner,
the CEO of Red Bull Racing, shed light on the reasons behind Red Bull’s entry
into F1. Unlike car manufacturers such as Mercedes or Ferrari, Red Bull GmbH is
primarily an energy drink company. Horner explained that the decision to enter
F1 stemmed from the shareholders’ passion for racing and Formula One, as well
as the belief that F1 serves as the perfect platform to market the Red Bull
brand. F1 is one of the most widely watched sports globally, following only the
Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup. While the Olympics and the World Cup
occur once every four years, F1 races take place every two weeks, providing
more frequent and timely opportunities for Red Bull and its partners to promote
their brands. Horner firmly believes that F1 events can significantly enhance
the global influence of the Red Bull brand.
