Sports News] According to reports from Italian media, a new disagreement has
arisen between Boulaye Dia and Salernitana. Dia was listed as a substitute in
Salernitana’s 1-1 away draw with Udinese. However, after the match, Salernitana
coach Fabio Liverani stated that he had wanted Dia to come on as a substitute
with a few minutes remaining in the game but was rejected. Liverani also
referred to Dia as an unreliable player. This incident adds to a series of
problems Dia has faced this season. During the previous summer transfer window,
Dia had contact with Wolves without sufficient communication with Salernitana.
Ultimately, Salernitana refused to sell Dia, leading to a breakdown in their
relationship. In September of last year, Dia failed to report back to
Salernitana on time after the national team’s match day, resulting in him
missing the squad for three consecutive games. However, he later returned to
the team lineup. Dia’s current contract with Salernitana is set to expire in
the summer of 2026. It appears increasingly likely that he will leave the team
this summer, with Wolves potentially remaining interested in his services.
