[Saba Sports News] The Football Association of England has recently accused West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta of breaching their betting rules. According to the announcement made by the association, Paqueta is facing accusations of violating four provisions of FA Rule E5.1 during West Ham’s Premier League matches against Leicester City (November 12, 2022), Aston Villa (March 12, 2023), and Leeds United (2023). It is alleged that Paqueta attempted to influence the outcome of these matches, sought yellow cards from referees, and manipulated the betting market for personal gain. Additionally, he has been charged with failing to comply with FA Rule F2 and has breached FA Rule F3 twice. Paqueta has until June 3, 2024, to respond to these charges, unless an extension is requested.
