(sabasports report) Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez is anxious after negotiations to renew his contract with Inter Milan have stalled. Pasquale Guarro, a reporter for the Italian media “Football Market”, revealed that Lautaro had asked for a contract extension to be finalized within 10 days.

After Inter Milan’s match against Lazio, Lautaro explicitly mentioned the issue of a new contract in an interview with the media. He said: “I don’t know what will happen to the club, other people will deal with it. Now, let’s celebrate the Serie A trophy! Next week, we have to reach an agreement on renewal.” Guaro noted that Lautaro’s words demonstrated the urgency of the matter, and that “a deal must be done” was more like an ultimatum.
Although Inter had promised to complete the extension before the end of the season, the club has already extended it twice. Lautaro’s contract expires in the summer of 2026 and multiple negotiations between the two sides have been fruitless. For now, agent Camano will travel to Milan to continue negotiations.

Since joining in 2018, Lautaro has made 281 appearances for Inter, scoring 129 goals and winning multiple titles. On Transfer Market, he is worth 110 million euros, tied with Victor Osimhen for the top spot in Serie A.
