[Saba Sports News] Recent foreign media reports suggest that Cadillac, the car manufacturer previously rejected by the F1 Alliance, has received favorable news. The Ford Marketing Department expressed support for Cadillac’s entry in an interview with the media, capturing significant attention. A spokesperson from Ford’s marketing division stated, “We enter races to compete with other manufacturers. While Formula One already has numerous manufacturers, we are happy to welcome General Motors to the sport.” Ford and Cadillac are distinct car manufacturers with their own plans and objectives in the racing domain. Ford announced a “long-term strategic partnership” with Red Bull Racing in February 2023, where they will assist in developing the next generation hybrid power unit. On the other hand, Cadillac plans to become an engine supplier in F1 by 2026, providing impetus for Andretti’s entry into the sport.
