[Saba Sports News] The NBA seems to be united in their disdain for Noah Lyles.
On a recent episode of the “Roommates Show,” co-hosted by New York Knicks’ Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson, Hart took a shot at U.S. sprinting star Noah Lyles. During a conversation about the Paris Olympics, Hart admitted he was rooting for Lyles to lose.
“I was very patriotic for most of the Olympics,” Hart said. “But I really wanted [Lyles] to lose. Damn, I wanted him to lose… I was hating.”
Lyles, who won the men’s 100-meter race in Paris but only claimed bronze in the 200-meter after a COVID diagnosis, has drawn ire for his confident persona and showmanship. His remarks last year about the NBA Finals winner not deserving the title “world champions” sparked backlash, and his recent jab at Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards only fueled the fire.
Despite being a six-time World Championships gold medalist and an Olympic gold medalist, many feel Lyles’ antics have crossed the line, and even some NFL players have openly expressed their dislike for him.
