(SabaSports) Mourinho, who took over at Fenerbahche in the summer, has publicly accused referees of favoriTIousbehaviour, particularly with Galatasaray and their manager Okan Brook. He said: “The only thing I know for sure is that the Galatasaray manager can walk four metres into the pitch [away from his own dugout] without any warning. But if I go beyond a meter, I’m sure I’ll get a card. A Galatasaray player who punches an opposing player in the face doesn’t get any cards. I embraced it the first week I was here.”

Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi hit back in an interview with A Bola. “It’s interesting,” he said. “I didn’t expect a great manager like Jose Mourinho to worry about referees. He wouldn’t have said that when he was in charge of the big teams. Galatasaray are the greatest club and there are always bad things said about us. We have a fantastic coach and we will play against the world. It doesn’t make any sense to start spreading these rumours at the beginning of the season.”
