[Saba Sports News] DeMarcus Cousins recently appeared on Jeff Teague’s ‘Club 520’ podcast, where they talked about the viral photo of Cousins and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Cousins jokingly blamed Teague for pushing Towns to guard him, despite past tensions between Cousins and Teague from a previous game.
“I remember you talking sh*t, like ‘Why you ain’t playing?’ I told you I’d play next time. Then you hyped up KAT, saying ‘You scared of Do [Cousins],'” Cousins recalled.
During their game in Minnesota, Teague kept egging on Towns, and when KAT tried to guard Cousins, the moment was captured in a now-famous photo.
Cousins, known for his toughness, acknowledged the challenge Towns faced as a young player going up against him, an aggressive force in his prime. Although Cousins’ career was later cut short by injuries, he was a dominant presence during his time in the league.
