[Saba Sports News] The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism released a mid-term inspection report regarding the An Se-young incident, revealing how the Korean Badminton Association has exploited rules for its own benefit and suggesting that its president, Kim Taek-gyu, is suspected of misappropriating funds and engaging in corrupt practices. There has been a recent development in this matter; the Korean National Police Agency stated that it does not have sufficient evidence to make such allegations against Kim Taek-gyu and others. In response, the Korean Badminton Association issued a statement denying that President Kim received any illegal kickbacks during this process, asserting that accusing someone of embezzlement and betrayal without solid evidence is clearly defamatory, and the association will definitely pursue legal responsibility. They also refuted claims from different organizations that attack the association based on a few pieces of information without considering the overall policies and rules of the association, reserving the right to take action. The association hopes everyone will refrain from jumping to conclusions or criticizing them without verifying the facts.
