[Saba Sports News] The Lakers finally got their first win of the preseason, beating the Bucks 107-102 on the road, using a 20-0 run in the fourth quarter to complete a comeback that marked coach J.J. Redick’s first win with the Lakers. Redick, facing former coach Darvin Ham, demonstrated how to call timeouts, properly challenge, rotate and play, and train the team’s young men.

Because of the preseason and the length of the trip, the Lakers’ two biggest stars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, didn’t play long. James finished 15 minutes with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists on 4 of 11 shooting and 2 of 4 from three-point range. He shot 5 of 14 for 11 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks in 25 minutes. Obviously, the protagonist of this game is not them, Redick seize every opportunity to train young people, looking for the new season of the reserve lineup, at present, the Lakers new season rotation is gradually taking shape.
Unfortunately, Bronny James probably won’t be in the rotation this season. Though he may play alongside James in the regular-season opener, based on his performance in the preseason, he will need to spend most of his time in the D-League. Against the BUCKS, Brownie played 6 minutes, 0 for 4, no points. In the past three preseason games, Browne has played 36 minutes, shooting 1 for 11, 0 for 5 from 3-point range and 0 for 0 from free throw range, clearly not strong enough to enter the regular rotation of the Lakers this season.
