[Saba Sports Newsft] There never seemed to be a smooth moment in Lonzo Ball’s career. The Chicago Bulls just announced that Ball will be re-evaluated in 10 days due to a sprained right wrist. It was his second injury, and many fans took to the Bulls’ official social media account to make an angry joke about him, calling him “so crisp.”

The fans’ sentiments are not gratuitous. Ball has only played in three games this season, and his last appearance was back on Jan. 15, 2022, leaving him out of action for 1,007 days, or nearly three years. This is not only a test of his will, but also a major challenge to the overall strength of the Bulls.
Ball returned to action in the preseason on Oct. 17 and had a stellar first game, showing off his ability to shoot, drive and block shots. In two preseason games, he averaged 10.5 points, two rebounds and two assists in 15.5 minutes per game, shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three-point range. These numbers have fans looking forward to his full return.
However, the reality has given the fans a big slap in the face. After three games in the regular season, Ball was hurt again. He averaged 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 15.7 minutes per game, shooting 35.7 percent, 33.3 percent and 0 percent, respectively.
Looking back at Ball’s career, injuries have led to him being labeled “the Glass man.” Since entering the NBA as the No. 2 overall pick in 2017, he has been plagued by injuries, from knee surgery to sprained ankles to shoulder problems, that have severely limited his playing time and form.
