[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from external media, Sauber currently has only one seat left available but does not intend to consider Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu for it. Instead, they prefer to give this seat to current F2 leader Gabriel Bortoleto, who is expected to start competing in F1 in the 2025 season. It is reported that Sauber will directly terminate Bortoleto’s contract with McLaren and compensate McLaren for it. At just 19 years old, Bortoleto has shown impressive results in junior formula racing, having won the FIA F3 championship last year and currently leading the F2 driver standings with great potential. Although Bortoleto has not yet secured the F2 championship, he has already gained considerable recognition in the paddock. If he successfully joins Sauber and partners with an experienced teammate, he will have the opportunity to showcase his talents in F1.00
