[Saba Sports News] Caitlin Clark might be one of the greatest basketball shooters of all time, but on the golf course, she proves she’s just like the rest of us.
On Wednesday, Clark participated in the pro-am portion of “The Annika,” an LPGA event hosted by Annika Sorenstam at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. While the Indiana Fever star is actually a solid golfer, she still has her fair share of mishits, just like any amateur.
One of those mishaps came on the 3rd hole, where Clark pulled her tee shot hard left—straight into a group of spectators. In a relatable moment, she quickly reached into her pocket for another ball to try again. One fan even captured the errant shot on video as it headed directly toward them.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, and Clark redeemed herself with plenty of solid shots throughout the event. However, it was her wayward tee shot that stole the internet’s attention.
Fans are used to watching Clark pull off jaw-dropping moments on the basketball court, but golf has a way of humbling even the most talented athletes. Her viral misfire is just another reminder of that.
