In the past, doctors could only enter the court upon the referee’s instruction, which could delay critical treatment. Now, doctors can enter directly and assess and treat athletes immediately, providing stronger guarantees for their safety. The introduction of these regulations is an important improvement in ensuring safety at sporting events and demonstrates a high regard for athletes’ health. The passing of Zhang Zhijie is deeply regrettable and serves as a reminder to pay more attention to athletes’ physical conditions and the safety of competitions.
