[Saba Sports News] La Liga powerhouse FC Barcelona is set to celebrate its highly anticipated 125th anniversary, with a variety of exciting activities planned. The club intends to hold a grand celebration at the Liceu Theatre and has even more significant news: a new mascot will be unveiled during the event, marking the first new iconic image since “Cule” in 1999. This new mascot has been created by several graphic designers from top audiovisual institutions around the world, combining digital and physical elements with interactive features. Unlike the figurative design of “Cule,” the new mascot will more intuitively reflect the club’s history, further strengthening the connection between fans and the club and enhancing fan engagement and sense of belonging. Additionally, club legend Lionel Messi will make a grand appearance. As the greatest player in Barcelona’s history, Messi played for the first team for 16 years, becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer, assist provider, and champion. His presence will undoubtedly add more glory and significance to the celebration.
