[Saba Sports News] According to British media, Liverpool’s annual Forever Reds charity fundraising event raised over £80,000, which will be used to support former players in need and local charities. The event took place in the “Beautiful Game” reception hall at Anfield and began with a welcome speech from Forever Reds project chairman John Aldridge, who paid tribute to a former player who sadly passed away in 2024. Zoe’s Place also joined in expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the recent £150,000 donation from Forever Reds. Guests then enjoyed a three-course festive meal and participated in a live auction, bidding on prizes and experiences that money cannot buy, including VIP tickets, signed jerseys, and other merchandise. Local singer-songwriter Kieo provided live music, performing songs from the LFC songbook. The annual Christmas celebration aims to raise funds for former players and support those in need. Forever Reds also channels donations from these special events into its core mission through the Liverpool Foundation. The next Forever Reds event will be an annual golf day, with further details to be announced soon.
