[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, fans of Manchester United and Liverpool will unite to protest ticket price increases at the upcoming “Red Rivalry” match at Anfield next month. Fans from both clubs plan to hold a demonstration during the Premier League clash on January 5 to support the fans’ association (FSA) campaign #StopExploitingLoyalty. This month, fans from Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, and Manchester City protested during their respective matches. Now, the Liverpool fan group “Spirit of Shankly” has held discussions with Manchester United’s fan group FC58 to plan a similar protest when these two historically successful English football teams meet again. It is expected that fans from both groups will protest before the match and display a banner reading “Stop Exploiting Loyalty” at the intersection of home and away seating at Anfield. The unity of Manchester United and Liverpool fans sends a very strong message. This is a concerning time for traditional fans, as ordinary spectators are gradually disappearing due to rising ticket prices and exploitation of loyalty, leading to a diminishing atmosphere.
