[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from South Korean media, since Korean badminton queen An Se-young won gold in women’s singles at the 2024 Paris Olympics and subsequently spoke out about the Korean Badminton Association’s neglect of player issues, it has garnered significant attention. The head coach of the Korean badminton team has been dismissed, and there are now demands for the president of the Korean Badminton Association, Kanazawa Kei, to resign. The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a statement urging Kanazawa to resign within a month or face more severe management measures, including but not limited to budget cuts. Investigations by the ministry revealed that Kanazawa had engaged in corrupt practices and had repeatedly refused to cooperate with investigations.
