[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United recently sent scouts to observe Porto forward Samuel Aghehowa. Reports indicate that United’s scouts watched Porto’s match against Boavista last weekend as the club assesses potential signings for January. They are particularly interested in Aghehowa, who scored twice in that match and has netted 18 goals for Porto this season. Notably, Aghehowa nearly transferred to Chelsea for £35 million during the summer window, but the deal fell through due to personal terms and medical issues, leading him to join Porto instead. The Spanish forward currently has a market value of €50 million. Meanwhile, Manchester United is also monitoring Porto left-back Francisco Moura, although he did not play in the match against Boavista. United’s top target for the left-back position remains Nuno Mendes, who has worked with Ruben Amorim before. The Portuguese player’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2026, and if he is unwilling to renew, PSG may be open to a sale.
